Originally from Connecticut, Catherine relocated to Florida over 30 years ago for a career change from telecommunications to funeral service. Her years of experience in the funeral industry range greatly from embalmer, mortuary disaster training, cemetery, funerals, family service advisor, and director of aftercare and family services. Catherine considers it a privilege to do a valuable thing on the worst day in some one’s life. She has earned a black belt in Israeli Krav Maga, and enjoys yoga, crossfit, kayaking, connecting with friends and family, any ocean watersport and watching the Boston Red Sox defeat the NY Yankees, a tradition since childhood.

Paul Thomas

Office Coordinator

In 1983, Paul graduated from Sarasota High School, in Sarasota, Florida. He spent his college years volunteering at a religious facility in Brooklyn, New York, where he helped in the production of Bibles and Bible based literature. He also facilitated getting supplies to religious facilities throughout the world from Mexico to Zimbabwe. Paul started in the funeral industry, in 1994, as a Pre-Planning Advisor helping to protect families in the Naples, Florida area. Then, in 1995, he worked in Sales at a cemetery in Miami, Florida. In 1996, he transitioned into Administration in Orlando, Florida. For several years he has been serving as an Office Manager in the Orlando Market and now here in beautiful Ruskin, Florida, at National Cremation & Burial Society. In the early part of Paul’s career, he had the privilege of working with his wife, Deborah, who is a licensed funeral director in New York and Florida. She decided to be a stay-at-home mom, and devoted her life to raising their only child, Natalie. Now, these more recent years in his career, he has enjoyed working with his daughter, who got her start in the funeral industry in Orlando, Florida and has now joined him here in Ruskin. His family has always enjoyed being able to serve the families in the community in their greatest time of need.
